ABOUT

Bias and Stigma AI is a Speculative Design hair campaign about black hair.  
African natural hair and hair styles: No. You cannot touch my hair! | Mena Fombo | TEDxBristol also a predicament that occurs in Europe. 

Some ways to incorporate African hair textures and styles into all ethnic races as organic elements to challenge the stigma around African natural hair and decolonize its representation by presenting women of different ethnic backgrounds with textured organic plants.

In the process of the speculative raising awareness project discovery of the bias in AI became another important discovery that led to the documentation of this evidence. The translation of bias from human to machine learning also became a core topic highlighting important references to Dr Joy Buolamwini. 

Case Study on AI 

The process of prompting with a reference image of a black women took some time and always had errors in comparison to the lighter skin and white conterparts. ---- Stable Difffusion










After several trials in MIdjourney the results were better this bias is quite clear in the white option as the results where always immediate.
