PHOTOGRAPHY
The Authorship Project is an exploration of self-expression through graphic design, guided by renowned Swiss designer Jiri Oplatek, co-founder of Claudia Basel. Across two steps, I visually represented my Zimbabwean identity through diverse techniques, combining photography, typography, color theory, and found images.
Catalogue: involved creating six chapters using different techniques, including self-portraits, abstract patterns, slogans, and color grids. The challenge was to produce a 150–180 page A3 catalogue, focusing on content depth, humor, and personal insight, while minimizing technical perfection. Each chapter employed unique visual approaches, aiming to capture and express different facets of my personality.
Posters: built on this by combining three techniques in each of three compositions. These final pieces distilled my characteristics into graphic expressions that merged different design approaches, balancing humor, independence, and depth. The final works were exhibited both digitally and in print format, capturing the essence of personal identity through experimental graphic language.
